Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Jandel Crutchfield is among the most awesome professors I've encountered as a student at the University of Mississippi. She approaches the subject matter in a way that is relevant and transferable to practical use. She structures her use of class time effectively. You will not observe any unnecessary digressions from topic. Her lessons also emphasize group interactive strategies. You will most likely feel something akin to a family atmosphere during this class. The tone of her classes are professional, yet at the same time, all inclusive and warm.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the different types of generalist social work practice, the various environments social workers cam choose to work in, and many other aspects of the profession.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be aware that this course does require 15 volunteer hours outside of class in a social services agency, and there are chapter quizzes given in class, sometimes spontaneously, at the end of each chapter. These quizzes count 10 points each. So it's good to study your notes ahead of each class to be prepared. As well, be prepared to participate in class discussion. It's part of your final grade.
