Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor will do everything in his power to assist you and be sure you develop the skills necessary to be an effective writer. It is also a good course to prepare you for more intensive writing.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to create a writing process for myself and to organize that process into steps that make writing easy. One highlight of this course is the ability to communicate with the professor.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay up to date on assignments and communicate with the professor. He is eager to help.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course as a challenging one to students who already have developed some core writing skills. If, on the other hand, you haven't developed a basic understanding of composition, I would recommend a different course that is more introductory in nature, because this one is quite rigorous, as stated by the instructor in her syllabus.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to structure a research prospectus and to use multimodal composition methods to illustrate the concepts within the research prospectus.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Make use of the writing center, as the professor suggests. Do not wait until the last minute to work on your projects. Be aware that you will have assignments every week in the course, even during Thanksgiving break. This course will take up most of your allotted study time because it's much more rigorous than the average writing class would be.
