    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course gives you a broad knowledge of how "the system" works. If I didn't take this course, I wouldn't be where I am today. Racial discrimination, the wealth-gap, economic reform, freedom of speech on college campuses. This course has it all, entirely by itself!

    Course highlights:

You learn what America truly is, aside from what people tell you in day-to-day life just to get by. Power, corruption, greed, biased decisions, personal opinions etc. It's been one of those "lightbulb" moment courses for me. In fact, it's changed my life so much that I've actually written a published article at the University to expand my knowledge of this course.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I'm not even going to sugar coat anything. This course was tough being an advanced class, however, this was my favorite class at Ole Miss and I learned so much that I've applied it to the real world like student's should in every class they take. I studied extensively 12+ hours per week because I enjoyed this class where I would have been fine with 6-8 hours, maybe even hitting 9 like normal students should do. I would advise student's who have street smarts to take this course. You could then apply those street smarts to the educational material and understand the class more effectively.
