Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is an introduction to the world of online study. It is a mandatory course for all UoPeople students, but is packed with information. In this course, students learn where to turn for answers to the most common academic questions, and where to go when they can't find the information they need. I found that it was thorough, examining all aspects of the University and online education in general.

    Course highlights:

Over the course of the term, UNIV 1001 introduces new students to UoPeople academic methods, policies, and expectations; and to the online library and other available study resources. Students also review effective study skills and discover how to be efficient and effective learners.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

This course is mandatory, and some of the information may seem very basic. But pay attention, become an active learner, and look around you to see how you can apply the skills this course will teach you. Be open minded, especially about note taking strategies, and willing to try something new! You just might surprise yourself.
