Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course balances out the heavy load of science, math and other "left-brained" courses. This art history course allows the student to study art movements and pieces from ancient history (Ancient Egypt) to modern conceptual art. For a novice, it is an excellent beginners class to understand the basics of art and how to critically judge and observe art styles.

    Course highlights:

This course allowed the student to gain a basic understanding of major concepts in art as well as the historical uniqueness of different artistic periods. Parts of this course allow the student to express their individual taste in art such as writing about their favorite art pieces which allow fellow students to discover something they may not have seen before.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

It is critical to read the assigned materials to gain the knowledge need to pass this course and to interact with other students in the forums. The professors are knowledgeable and encouraging in their field. It is always good to ask either the professor or other students for information if a concept is not fully understood.
