Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend residency through Walden because not only is this innovative approach to the world of Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) imperative for future counselors and other mental health professionals but it is required. During my RESI One experience I met some awesome leaders, professors, and colleagues that have impacted not only my studies but my life in general. I made new friends and networked with individuals from all over the United States. I really need the funds to attend my second and final residency before moving on to my last course.

    Course highlights:

During RESI One I learned important values of becoming a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. More specifically, my professors demonstrated role play for a counselor and mock client that I will forever reflect during my work of counseling others. Not only am I passionate about helping others but it is a desire that I must feel because my soul depends on uniting with other lost souls that needs authentic and genuine help.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

As mentioned, Residency is a requirement for Walden Mental health counselor students therefore there's no way around it. However, I highly advice students to be attentive and participate during the innovative training. I also encourage students to network and establish both personal and professional relationships during residency.
