Not too easy. Not too difficult.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course helps you understand the importance of the assessment process as a future counselor. You will learn about the types of assessment available for use, including goodness of fit for the client and the counselor. No matter how good you are at assessment there is always room for growth; Professor Rizzo is a valuable asset to any student seeking to be better in this area.

    Course highlights:

I gained a better understanding in the importance of assessment as well as the importance of the types of assessment. This includes the information on test-retest reliability, inter-rater reliability, standard and non-normative assessments and more. Learning about the importance of being adequately trained including sharing the result with the client were also positives of this course.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study and read. Ask question about what you don't know. Become friendly with the Library and the Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests in Print.
