Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

A great and challenging course that opened my eyes to a lot of social and ecological issues relating to public health. The course unlocked my mind to see things in a more holistic sense, including my own biases when it comes to health issues in different areas of the world. I felt challenged by the course to see just how wrong I was in my perception of some situations, something that I always love in a learning experience.

    Course highlights:

The course gives the student a deeper appreciation and understanding of the forces (social, economic and political) that influence public health. You learn to appreciate the reasons behind some the health choices people make in life, which in some cases, we may have assumed the blame is all theirs for making poor choices.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

In this course, you're up for an interesting journey and if you don't see your own errors in perception on public health issues, you haven't started really opening yourself up to learning new insights in this course. This course, I'd say its crucial to anyone doing public health....a must do course.
