    It was very supportive to students who were new to the graduate and online learning process.

    Gaining a PhD requires patience, scholarly writing, finding your passion, and wanting to promote positive social change.

    Course Overview:

    This course teaches you the basic skills about social work.

    Course highlights:

    I had the opportunity to learn and practice social work skills. I explored professional boundaries and demeanor, client engagement, active listening, empathetic responses, and interviewing skills. This course helped me to learn how to set professional boundaries and maintain ethical codes with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    This course is your foundation course and it teaches very important skills that will be utilized everyday in a social worker's career.
