Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Understanding the brain and it behaviors would not only help us understand other but it would also help us to understand our own behaviors and what can and will cause a dysfunction or greater function to our brain and our behavior.

    Course highlights:

The highlights for me was the break down of the mind and behavior and the different causes that affect the two. It is good to understand the different psychological behavior and how to analyze from outward behaviors what is happening inwardly. I learned theories from Maslow's hierarchy of needs to Freud's theory of the unconscious mind governing behavior.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would advice those interested to go for it. Nothing beats a failure but a try. I feel that everyone should know about the human mind and its function. This will help us better understand those we are around in our day to day and will help us understand how to be a good influence on those we are here to encourage.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is very interesting. I learn about the brain and how it processes the different disorders, example; bipolar disorder. The professor is always giving feedback, letting me know how I can improve my grade. If I had a question I would email him and he would email me back quickly. This class overall is one of my favorite because I love learning why people do the things that they do. I love trying to find out if there is a cure for their behavior and this class taught me all of that.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was learning about different disorders that people like you and I suffer from every day. I can’t imagine suffering from a disorder that will cause me to be a total different person, but I have learned that normal people like you and I has to take medication in order to cope with everyday life. I have learned so much in this class, but the biggest thing I learn was the way the brain process different disorders, example schizophrenia. It takes a team of doctors to diagnose someone with this disorder and the only way they are supposed to be diagnose is the doctors rule out everything else.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give students on this class is, it’s not a cake walk. This class is very interesting, but you have to do your part. It is a lot of helpful information in the Walden library and the instructor is one of the best at responding to you and he tells you exactly what you need to do to improve your grade. It is not a hard class, but you have to focus and do your work.
