Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you are interested in persuing a Ph.D in education, it is important to understand the connection between social change, teaching, and learning. This course brings this home. At the end of the course, I not only felt more prepared to handle doctoral studies, but also inspired to set my sights on making a true difference in this world.

    Course highlights:

There is a lot of discussion about the definition on elements of social change. I learned that most social change is grassroots, from the ground-up. Social change is positive and not always encompassing a "save the world" attitude. Rather, it means taking the time to listen, do the research, and synthesize new ideas.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings and participate in the discussions. You learn best from one another!
