    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you have to take Anatomy and Physiology at Winona State (especially nursing majors) then I would definitely recommend Dr. Thompson. He seems tough at first but he really wants you to do well in the class. He gives great lecture notes, and doesn't just go off of the book. Attend S2i for his course because he offers mock exams and he uses those questions on his exams in class. Go to his office for help. He does not allow any electronics in his class because he wants to avoid distraction for you and everyone else.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Thompson made the class interesting by adding his own experiences, and he tells some good jokes every now and then. S2i is a definite advantage to this course. He starts with the skeletal system and finishes with the nervous system. BIOL 212 hits the harder systems such as endocrine and urinary system as well as digestive.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Skim through the chapters to get a basic understanding. Dr. T goes through the notes very well. YOUR GRADES ARE STRICTLY EXAMS. Both lab and lecture. He does not normally do quizzes or give homework assignments. It is your responsibility to know the material. GO TO S2i and tutoring! Helps a lot and you get a glance at his exams before taking them.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is definitely a high level, difficult class. Thompson works you to your max, and if you put in a lot of effort you can succeed. I would not recommend taking this if you do not have to take Anatomy for your major, or if you do not find much interest in the topic.

    Course highlights:

It was incredibly nice that we got to use a cheat sheet, front and back, for all of our exams. It took a lot of time to make, but also it made you go through all of the powerpoints and really see what you knew and didn't know.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to study incredibly hard, as this class is probably one of the hardest that you can take in college. Make flashcards, use quizlet, read the assigned textbook, and always pay attention in class.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was very fun and I learned a lot. You really get more knowledge the better you pay attention and try your hardest to learn things. I would high recommend this type of learning and the hands on learning really helps.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much that I never knew before taking the course. I loved doing hands on work and there is so much you learn about the human body that you would never have known before this course. I loved it.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Always study your hardest and try to be positive even when you have to do stuff you don't want to. The more work you put in now will help you in the long run so much more than you think. Try your hardest and don't give up or think it's going to be super easy. Challenge yourself.
