    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was incredible. I hope to one day pursue a career as a physician and I felt that this course did an awesome job of introducing some of the beginning complex ideas of biology but still tying them into a medical context. Even though this is a class freshmen take, I feel that underclassmen aspiring doctors get lost in the crowd when it comes to introductory classes and are sometimes not able to see the big picture. This class made me learn a lot but it helped me always keep one eye on the end goal!

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course to me was learning about glycolysis and the formation of ATP. The complexity and beauty even at a molecular level life has to offer was something that got me hooked on science even more if that's at all possible!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Look over the material after each class! Make a running study guide that you keep up with due to the fact that there are many terms and concepts that build on one another. if you stay current with the information, you will love each aspect of this class even more because you'll be able to see the connections!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Weeks is an amazing professor who went to medical school and then decided to teach! He knows the material and related well to the students. He is very enthusiastic while teaching which makes it easier to learn and follow along!!

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about cells and the body at a molecular level. I highly recommend this class to any biology majors! The tests are tough, but if you pay attention in class and study the notes before the test you will be fine!!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Future students should plan on studying days in advance of the test. doing this will ensure that you memorize all of the material. Also, pay attention in class. A lot of test questions come right from the lecture!
