Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The word "statistics" sounds so boring and tedious. I took this course because it was required but discovered that statistics can be interesting when you understand its application and how to use the information to your advantage.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were making connections with what we were learning in class with the real world. Statistics was always something I thought really bored and boring people did in their spare time. I learned that understanding and applying statistical analysis can help business people in making decisions that will help to ensure future growth and success. Statistical charts, graphs, and tables provide a clear picture that allows everyone to see and understand what is going on and how to best utilize that information.

    Advice for students:

There are a lot of math problems and formulas involved in this course. Do not question why the formulas are set up the way they are or even how they came to be. Our teacher advised us to just accept that some little guy in a basement came up with these crazy formulas and that they work. I am one who questions a lot of things. Not questioning the formulas, only using them, was the best advice I was given in this course. Had I questioned the formulas, I would have most likely failed this course. Instead, I took my instructor's advice and didn't question why and how the formulas came to be. I left this course with an A because of it.
