    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Forde definitely takes PR seriously, it is his passion after all. I would recommend to not only prepare for his tests through his study guides, but to also: review your notes, listen to his podcast, and read the book. It's a lot of work, but it'll be worth it in the end. When you finish his class, you feel as if you truly did accomplish something because of all the hard work you put in and all the knowledge you got back.

    Course highlights:

All of my highlights from his class took part during his twitter sessions. It was a new way for the class to get involved and participate in discussions. It's hard to say what all I learned because there was just so much material that we went over. The best way to put it is the basic to intermediate understanding of public relations and what that term actually means.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study and make sure you understand the material. Don't be afraid to reach out and ask for help, this goes towards asking Dr. Forde for help along with your fellow classmates. If you take this class seriously and actually try in it, you'll be just find.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although many feel that in Public Relations everything has to be about competing against someone else, I believe working together to accomplish work or projects is the best way.

    Course highlights:

I learned that it is not where you come from, but it is where you are going. Public Relations helped me learn that having a positive attitude and having generosity will take me a long way.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you read the material from the book before the lecture and read it again after the lecture, then you will do great and know everything for the test.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because any industry has the potential to have a public relations situation, from school teacher or administrator, to broadcast meteorologist. It pays great dividends to know what to do in a public relations situation, no matter what industry you're in.

    Course highlights:

How to think reasonably in critical situations, how to help companies and management become aware about public perception, lessons from present and past public relations situations that did not go well at first.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need this, no matter your major. You need it for the knowledge that will pay off in the long run.
