    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I have mixed feelings about this course for more than one reason. The material covered is not too overwhelming and the professor is very knowledgeable about the course as well. The only downside I experienced is that she would flip through the slides extremely fast and if someone asked her to slow down or to go back over something she would not and she would just keep on going. Which on one hand, I understand. But at the same time, if multiple people in the class have complained about the same thing, then one would think there should be some changes. Also, another downside I experienced from this course is that she would make the test way harder than necessary, and in lecture, would tell you that she was going to try to trick you. In my opinion, that is not what school should be about. It should strictly be the professor teaching the material and then students be tested on only what they have learned how to do. Not a manipulated version of what we have learned how to do. All things considered, she is a very sweet lady who means well and I believe she wants everyone to succeed, but I think she could stand to be more empathetic to those who may not be able to keep up with how quickly she covers material. Be mindful though that this experience is not solely based on her performance, this class is tough and you have to put in the work in order to get the grade you want. Also, there are many opportunities to help you with your average such as attendance points, and lots of homework and quizzes to help out your average.

    Course highlights:

I learned a great deal from this course and the instructor knows what she is doing and she does it very well. It is a great foundation for Chem 2

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Put in the time. You may think that you can put it off until a few days before and be fine, and for some, that may work just fine. But, if you are in the majority of students in the world who are not just born geniuses, then you really need to sit down and make sure you understand the material, because you will be tested on ALL of it.
