Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Really interesting. Dr. Hooks adds a funny touch to his lecture with anecdotes.

    Course highlights:

How US came to become an independent country.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to revise it at least once a week or else you’ll start to forget.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is amazing and she does a great job of making history sound intresting. She does this thing after every class where we would write a quick write just putting everything we remembered from class on a paper based off of the question she gives.

    Course highlights:

The class discussions were really interesting. The tests for her are easy because they are all essays.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

show up to every class and participate in every discussion and the test will be very easy because you are familiar with every question.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Hooks was very passionate during his lectures, which led to many discussions of topics that were not entirely relevant to classroom topics. His tests were not particularly difficult but I, and my classmates, felt that we were not given adequate study material.

    Course highlights:

The course material covered pre-colonial era through the end of the Civil War.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard, take as many notes in class as you can, and take the time to re-organise them later. He gives a lot of material in class and a lot of it you will just be writing down and not comprehending.
