This class was tough.
This was a great class in that it showcases the overall view of working in advertising. Very practical information. Be forewarned, though. The tests are hard and there is a huge project involved. If you take this class in winter session, you will be doing the exact same amount of work as a normal semester in 2 weeks. Three tests, a full campaign (up to 40 pages), and a presentation.
We learned about the different types of media advertisement agencies use, how print ads work vs tv spots, how much ads cost depending on the media, the overall structure of an agency (the hierarchy), and so forth.

Advice for students:
More than likely, if you are in a fraternity or sorority, you'll have a bank of questions that will be helpful to study with. If you're not, then there are questions in the back of the book used or a series of questions in the beginning of each chapter. Also, for the campaign, I recommend picking a product/company that a lot of people don't know much about - 3D printing, for example. It adds to the "wow" factor the teacher is constantly looking for.
