    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it allows you to see all the various aspects of the hospitality world from lodging to travel. This course allows students to get an introduction to a little bit of everything allowing a great overview of the industry and how it all works together.

    Course highlights:

From taking the course I have gained skills in communications, interviews, resumes, and leadership. In this course we put together a resume and created a cover letter for a hypothetical job which helped me understand the template and method to creating a winning resume. We also learned how to ace an interview and how to successfully communicate with others in a professional manner. This course taught very relevant skills for the hospitality industry and life in general.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course you must read and study the examples from the text book and participate in class discussion and projects. It is also important to go to the career center while creating your resume and cover letter so that you can have a peer edit and perfect your work. If you actively listen in class and participate in assessments then you will succeed.
