    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Hall was easy to work with and covered all important topics of the stories we read in class. As long as you showed up, you could succeed in the class regardless if you understand symbolism or not. She was understanding and over all an amazing professor.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about slavery and how to decipher symbolism. I read Edgar Allen Poe poems and also read excerpts from Uncle Tom's Cabin. For lack of a better expression, it was a cultural awakening that opened my eyes to how much different things really were in the past. The gothic era of literature was quite intriguing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read and make notes in the margins, and if you need to you can spark note most of the stories for the themes and motifs you don't understand. As long as you show up to class though, you should understand and find the stories fascinating.
