Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Holland is much more than a professor. He is a mentor. Dr. Holland creates a safe atmosphere allowing every student to express themselves in an appropriate learning environment. He has so many life experiences that played a major rolled in the knowledge he delivered in class. As a result I was able to leave his class knowing the curriculum's content and so much more.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Holland had this thing where he would divided the semester into topics and before he taught each topic there would be something in store for us. For example, the topic was Environmental Policy and we told us a rather detailed story about his time in North Carolina on a half million dollar grant. It became very clear to him that we all loved his stories. But my favorite surprise he had for us was when we spoke about International Policy and a U.S. Air Force Ambassador came and spoke to us. This officer knew four different languages and has traveled all over the world. He has some in contact with the President of the United States and countless Prime Ministers. During his visit I learned that his job could be extremely secretive. Raising a family could also be quit difficult because he travels so much.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely advise people to make flashcards on each topic and quiz your classmates. It actually helps you learn. What Dr. Holland goes over in class will be on the test so take detailed notes. If you have questions don't be afraid to ask him because he is surly not afraid to answer them.
