This course, though with an abundance of writing involved, taught me how to write email memos and be put in a position where I had to write memos, manual instructions, and correct/edit other information.
There is a quite bit of writing and really reading and re-reading what you wrote. Memos are about formatting, proper information, and good editing. Would you want to read an email where a good majority of it is misspelled and doesn't make any sense? You learn to correct someone else's memo, basic instructions (like how to work a new copier), and watching your own grammar and spelling.

Pay CLOSE attention to your text book. Spell/grammar check is your friend. Have someone read over your writing assignments.
