    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for anyone even remotely interested in Geology. This class covers things like volcanoes, earthquakes, and much much more. Dr. Pope gives tons of extra credit. The only way you could not pass this class is if you just do not try at all. Dr. Pope is one of the best teachers I have had, she stays on track but keeps you entertained and focused at the same time.

    Course highlights:

This course made me decide to change my major from Music Education, to Geology. The beginning of the semester was a little boring. It was more difficult to stay in track because the things we were learning about were not very interesting. All we focused on was how to identify rocks. About halfway through the year, it got a lot more interesting. We started learning about plate tectonics, volcanoes, and earthquakes. Something I personally love. So if you have any interest in Geology take this class. It's the best!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class you need to study for the four exams. How do you study? All you have to do is do your homework on the mastering geology website. Not only does it help you study, but it brings your homework grade up. Go over the homework two or three times. You do not need the text book for this class, as long as you can access your homework online.
