    I would recommend this course because it teaches you about music. MUS 165 teaches you all the functions of music, how it sounds, and what to listen for in music.

    While took MUS 165, I learned all the functions of music and how it sounds. MUS 165 really taught me what to listen for in music.

    Course Overview:

    For those who enjoy the music beyond the convenience of entertainment, and physical expression and want to understand the basic fundamentals of music, you must take MUS 165 Enjoyment of Music. While it is one the required courses, I personally can say that this is the best one to take. Music is apart of our every day lives, Understanding what makes music what it is and why we implement it, and how to appreciate different kinds of music is exactly what this course is about.

    Course highlights:

    Listening to different genres in class, learning about emotional expressions within music, creating music composition projects, and concert reports.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    Although you may select this course as a place holder for performing arts, I highly recommend you try to enjoy it for what it is. It is one of the best available required courses so try to learn as much as you can from this class. Understanding what music is can open your mind to some pretty incredible and interesting things never heard before that you might enjoy. The lectures are always engaging so long as you put your part into being engage.
