    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I am not a great fan of math, but to anyone who likes math, I say give it a go. It just wasn't my cup of tea.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were a gaining of knowledge about the basics of calculus. A lot of the concepts that were taught to me had a basis in trigonometry, so I would highly recommend taking a trigonometry class, or at least having some previous knowledge of trigonometry before taking this class. I didn't have any prior trigonometry experience, so I struggled a bit.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to take a previous trigonometry course, to help them understand some of the concepts in the course. I would also advise students to make use of their resources. If you don't understand something, try searching the Internet for an explanation or a walk-through of similar problems, to better help them understand the concepts of your course. Lastly, I would advise students to not be afraid to ask for help when they need it. Most teachers have office hours and are happy to help tutor students.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this course because it is a required course in many high schools as well as colleges.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course is that I do get to review and learn new material.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice for students considering this course is to ask and get help from teachers as well as peers. Also you do not want to fall behind because it is a challenging course and will have a lot of material to learn.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It depends on what you plan your major to be. There would be no reason to take a Precalculus course if you want to be a literature major.

    Course highlights:

I learned about trig functions, equations, the unit circle, and much more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study! When you get a question on a test wrong, go back and look it up so you can learn what you did wrong. That helped me a lot.
