    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is going to be one of the most difficult classes which is required for this program. The good thing is, once you are done with this course, the program gets much easier. STUDY STUDY STUDY. Study groups help. Material is a lot and time given to study isn't. So, just be careful and keep timings in mind when taking this class.

    Course highlights:

The class overall is very much worth it. Like health assessment, the material in this class will follow through with you in your career as a registered nurse so make you aren't just memorizing everything. Once, you stop memorizing and start understanding the material you will be successful. At least that is what worked for me.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Try to take this class alone. Study groups help a lot so try that. Don't give up. There is light at the end of the tunnel just hold your head up. Give up social life for 16 weeks (NR 324 & NR 325).

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class itself requires a different form of processing questions that any other up to this point. I requires you to really put yourself in the place of a nurse and you have to decide if you should follow the normal steps of the nursing process (ADPIE) or take another route of action. Having a teacher who really helps you understand what it going on and one who will take the extra time to help you will make you much more successful in this class and other nursing courses.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to think more like an actual practicing nurse, not just a book nurse. I learned how to answer NCLEX style questions, but also learned what is the best thing to do in actual practice.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

It is impossible to memorize for this course. In this course you have to have an understanding of why and how things happen. The only way for this course to make sense is to actually KNOW the material.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Was a good foundation for nursing care . It helped me to feel more comfortable in the hospital setting. Although it was a lot of information given to use it felt like I learned a lot.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to pass mess, change dressings, interact with patients, and do IV fluids. It was different than the nursing home so it was an adjustment to get used to.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

You for sure need to read the book and take notes from it. You need to stay on top of your studying. Also watching YouTube videos helped me when I couldn't understand a concept.
