Always Do the Reading
This class was tough.
Professor Taulbee is extremely helpful and a passionate teacher. She cares about the well being of her students as well as their performance in her class. Adult Health I (med surg) is a very difficult course but the information you learn is the very core of nursing. The class helps bring everything you learn in nursing school come together.
In Adult health we learned to apply and piece together everything we learned in health assessment, fundamentals, pathophysiology, and nutrition. Adult health I is when you truly learn how to "think like a nurse".

Advice for students:
You have to stay on top of your reading and if you have any questions, don't forget to ask for help. Don't study to pass the course, study to save a future life as a nurse. By that I mean you shouldn't study, you have to really understand the material; in the future that's the difference between life and death in a patient. Also always ask "why" something is the way it is, by understanding the why of disease processes and safety procedures, you will be successful in the course.
