    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would mostly recommend it because I had an amazing professor, but also, this class taught me the basics of nursing. I am someone who loves to memorize facts and this class was all about the organs and disease processes of those organs in our body. We need to know all of these things and it was fun to challenge myself to memorize all of this information! Obviously I still struggle with remembering it all, but just make sure to keep the good notes you take and books that you can refer to.

    Course highlights:

Med Surg taught me about each body system and the common issues we might see with our patients in the hospital. I use a lot of the information I learned from this class in my clinical and this is information we will always have to know. It's such a useful class and you know this information is vital to understand!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to read ahead before class and do not be afraid to ask questions in this class. If you don't understand something, ask the teacher or a classmate to try to explain it to you in a different way! Don't wait to go home and teach yourself things. It can get overwhelming!

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it gives you in dept information on the most common things that affect our health and how to treat it.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was learning what happens in the different areas of the body. This course also incorporates pharmacology to help better understand treatment plan. I learned how to prioritize my patients and how to adequately apply a care plan for the patient

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advice students to read the book. Although the professor will lecture, it is vital to real and learn because often times the professors lecture is just a broad view of the content. Reading will help one to understand the content better.
