    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Zila is an excellent teacher and always explains the lessons clearly, although having a teacher personally would be better but it was a great experience to have him.

    Course highlights:

This course definitely helped me improve my writing skills and taught me how to write strong sentences. It taught me the importance of grammar and spelling, and how to incorporate the right usage of nouns, pronouns, adjectives, etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Focus, don't get distracted by the things around you. Don't ever doubt to ask for help from an outside student or friends; if you have a question ask it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who truly enjoys learning. Mr. Bucy was a great teacher. I learned so much about British Literature throughout the year. While covering classics that everyone knows to smaller, magnificent works I had never heard of, the course constantly kept me interested. It was fun, and I learned more than I ever thought I would

    Course highlights:

I learned many things! The course covered the entire literary history of the U. K. from the Anglo-Saxon period to the twentieth century. I learned much about poetry and prose, the parts of a novel, good writing habits, and grammar. We were even required to memorize numerous poems throughout the year. These works varied greatly in style. They included William Shakespeare's "To Be or Not to Be" and sonnet 43 by Elizabeth Barret Browning.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend not underestimating the difficulty of prefix, root, and suffix memorization. Throughout the year students are required to use prefixes, roots, and suffixes to dissect words. They are also found on quizzes and tests. Another thing I would recommend is to focus more on grammar and punctuation rules than literature. For me, the literature side was much easier. It was mainly term and definition or title/content memorization. With grammar there was more hands on editing and usage tests that take more effort and thinking.
