    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I personally love the teaching style of Dr. Giltner and would recommend any of this professor's classes. You will know many of the things he talks about, but history is ever changing and we find out new facts as they surface. So history changes according to interpretations of the historians teaching and interpreting the information.

    Course highlights:

It might be a nerd thing to say, but I love the tests! They are paper tests and there are multiple choice, two to three essay questions among other types of questions. The essay's are my personal favorites, they are where you can express your opinion on the given "facts" and the way those facts effected the history in that given time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to take notes if you are not good at retaining information. The professor gives you many options and ways to study that you should really figure out for yourself. He puts the materials in a place that can be accessed with a computer or a phone and it is a very great class. Take all the chances you can to succeed.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

First of all this is a required course, and the professor is amazing at my college. Everyone has their own opinions but I personally love History. This is a great course, just make sure you take notes if you are not good at remembering dates.

    Course highlights:

This course is easy if you are be good at listening and if you remember things from high school American history. We learned a lot about the way history can be hidden within opinions considering the winners write the history books. Take notes and understand, history changes based on teachers and new found information.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes, read the assignments and understand what you are reading. Some primary sources can be hard to read if you do not understand old English. Also, every teacher has different methods, understand what the professors say and use critical thinking skills durring in class debates. Know your information before you talk about it.

Dr. Giltner loves teaching the class and is very engaged.

    Course highlights:

I have a better understanding of the American life style that I didn't have before.

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

Take it! It's a great class and it's probably one of the more interesting of the history classes.
