    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is very thorough and takes a lot of dedication to do well. We had to make journals that were a big chunk of the overall grade so keeping them up to date is crucial. While this is a good class, i would not recommend it if you're planning on taking the MCAT as this is not an MCAT prep course in physics. We worked in small and large groups in every class period to solve problems given to us. Most of the time, we used our knowledge to figure out a problem that sometimes we didn't know how to solve/didn't have the equation. Participation in this class really counts in your final grade: talk in class, do your journal, and work/help your small group solve problems to find the (sometimes incorrect ) answers.

    Course highlights:

Honestly, I learned how to effectively work in a small group and communicate properly in a large group. This skill goes far outside the classroom and helps in one's future workplace.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

When a professor says to spend time outside the classroom and study almost every night, LISTEN!!!! Even though you have other classes and it seems like a lot, really dedicate any spare time to studying. Showing a professor that you really studied and tried hard to understand the material shows them that your serious about doing well and it may help you in the long run.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this course. The teacher thinks he's some kind of revolutionary, when in fact he's just a jerk who's class only appeals to a very small percentage of people. To make things worse his class is a social experiment and as all his students are 'data' he constantly has a camera trained on everyone. He forces the class into giant group discussions and lets us sit in awkward silence when no one knows what to say.

    Course highlights:

I learned I hate this teacher.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

do not take it with Dr. Hinrichs at all costs. There is nothing worse on this earth.
