This innovative course explores the relationship between psychological, neurological, and immunological processes within the human body and how the three aspects influence and effect one another. This field opens so many doors in regards to understanding, diagnosing, and even potential prevention of human ailments.
The professor does an amazing job of walking you through the complex material and explaining each and every detail. Instead of a stereotypical textbook, the book is compilation of various studies conducted within the field of PNI. This original way of presenting information allows students to see what goes into designing and creating the studies and how to carry them out in order to get accurate and precise results as well as the results found from the studies and what the mean for the world of medicine, psychology, and neuroscience. In addition, the professor allows each student with the opportunity to dig into a particular study, and teach that study to the class, allowing the student experience in thoroughly understanding and presenting the information well enough that their fellow peers will be able follow along and understand the material just as if the professor herself was presenting on the topic. This makes the student have to thoroughly analyze and revise every detail of the particular study, rather than just reading it once amd pushing it to the side. In order to compile a presentation on the topic, the student must thoroughly understand the information within the study which maximizes the student’s learning.
