Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr Jenkins is a great and laid back teacher who encourages a lot of discussion in his class. His assignments are challenging but still manageable and even fun at times.

    Course highlights:

Learned a lot of new perspectives on Christianity

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the material, Dr Jenkins will go over it in class but the classes are the best when at least the majority have read the material.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course with Dr. Jenkins because he makes it so fun and helps a boring subject into something interesting. He gives you study guides which are the exact test! Study those! I suggest printing off the study guide before a new section and as he is going through the powerpoint look for the answers, they all come from the powerpoint.

    Course highlights:

I gained a full understanding of the basics of Christianity. It helped me truly believe in what I believe and how I can have a civil conversation with someone about God, even if they did not believe. I loved every moment of this course and I hope you do as well.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Like I said above, print out the study guides! He already has everything up on course commons, just print it out and bring it too class. He does give random quizzes, but honestly they do no affect your grade. I think I got one one-hundred percent, the rest I would get eighty or below and I still got a high A in the class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Essential Christianity is an introductory course which explores some of the basic principles and ideologies of Christian thinking. In this course, you will explore some of the spiritual disciplines often practiced by Christians. You will also compare Christian thought to that of other world views. You will also have an opportunity to learn and explore some of your personal God-given strengths!

    Course highlights:

Perhaps my favorite portion of the class was having the opportunity to learn about my personal strengths. It was interesting to learn about the gifts that my classmates and I possess, and how they play a role in our vocations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the class materials on time! Many students avoided the readings. It is possible to get by without complete participation, however, the class is much less interesting and/or beneficial when you take this approach.
