Course Overview:
I would recommend College Algebra because the course is rigorous, and will definitely prepare students for the higher level math courses. Throughout my duration of the course, there were plenty of weekly pop quizzes, homework, and test that correlated to the course as a whole. The work load will get heavy, but always ask for help and finish your assignments. Effort goes a long way!
Course highlights:
As a mathematics major, my College Algebra course encouraged me to continue to pursue math. The main highlight is review. A student can expect to review earlier high school learning concepts, and get more advanced as the class carries on throughout the semester.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
No matter how difficult the course load gets, it is extremely important to complete ALL of your work. Where quiz and test grades fall short, completing your homework will definitely help boost your grade.
