    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor challenged the class to our maximum, even though it was an entry level course. I would not recommend for first semester unless student is able to teach them selves and in depth knowledge of Basic Biology

    Course highlights:

I gained a basis of biology that I will need to further my education and eventually career

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to receive a passing grade in this course, students will need to review the chapters in the book, make notecards, take notes in every class, as well as take their own notes outside of class.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to any freshman who wants to test their abilities and work towards bettering themselves in the Biology field. Dr. Kyra Krakos knows this course like the back of her hand and is tough, but is always willing to help when things get confusing or dense.

    Course highlights:

Learning about the Kreb's cycle was interesting, because the topic itself was hard, but she explains it in a way that will make it stick with you. Her illustrations are unforgettable because they're out of the ordinary.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Only take it if you're up for a challenge. If you are taking other heavy material courses, learn how to balance your time. Utilize her office hours and see her every time you get a test back no matter how many questions you missed. If you're confused during her lecture, do not be afraid to raise your hand or ask a neighbor when its appropriate. Tutors are also available if you are someone who needs an extra set of eyes to help you delve into the course material. It is intense, but once you get through it, you can really appreciate it.
