    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend this course because I felt as if I didn't learn a whole lot. While the professor is excellent, the class falls short. There are no lectures, no power points to study for tests, and very little information presented in the class. The tests do not always follow the book and most questions are worded quite confusingly.

    Course highlights:

In complete honesty, I did not take a lot away from this course. There were no lectures and the book was poorly set up. The lack of lecture really diminished my ability to learn in this class.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You should make sure to have the book open during the test because there will not be a lot of information provided in class. I recommend using the glossary throughout the test and looking over it when it comes back graded.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course. Mr. Nute is so intelligent and witty. He made the course very enjoyable.

    Course highlights:

Every week we would read, summarize and critically think about an aspect or study in psychology. One week an article we read had the topic of blindness. Instead of staying in the classroom and speculating what it would feel like to be blind, Mr. Nute sent us into the halls with a partner as a guide and had us close our eyes and walk around. It was a fun and educational exercise that was relevant to the topic we were studying and it helped create moral in the classroom.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to actually read the material and write your journals as you read and discuss the articles. Also, do not put off working on the paper until the last minute.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It is a wonderful course to learn more about the human brain and its interworkings as well as learn many life skills.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about how to better care for myself and others. I learned how to tell if someone has depression, including yourself, and ways to deal with that circumstance where someone says they are considering suicide.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book, it has lots of great information and things to use in your life, listen to the professor, and make sure you do not miss a journal. Do the work, pay attention, and it will be a breeze.
