    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Clayton Price will give all needed programming information which a good coder need it.

    Course highlights:

    You will learn not only how to be a programmer bur also how to be a good programmer.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Be aware you have to work with your assignments and take notes very carefully.

    Course Overview:

    It is a great way to get into the computer science world with doing actual coding. C++ can be challenging but the teachers and lab make fun projects and are very thorough about teaching the course material.

    Course highlights:

    The homework assignments are a blast, they are funny and quirky, but provide a challenge and really teach the material taught in lecture.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Make sure you leave yourself enough time to do the homework. It will take you several hours.

    Course Overview:

    Leopold does a great job of teaching the basics of C++. The lab course associated with the lecture was actually very useful for helping me learn how to use the concepts taught and the homework assignments allowed you to get creative with your programs.

    Course highlights:

    Operators, branching (if-else statements and switch-case), loops, functions, random number generation, multiple files, arrays, structs, classes, file I/O

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Start the homework assignments well before they are due so that you can get help when you are stuck.
