Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course of AbPsych is totally awesome to take, whether you are a psychology major or if you're simply interested in psychological disorders of the brain and would like to learn more.

    Course highlights:

Personally, I loved learning about schizophrenia and D.I.D (Dissociative Identity Disorder). Learning about all the ways a human brain can split is frankly astounding.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and take notes from the powerpoints. The professor is very knowledgeable in this field and can answer any questions you have if you need help.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The information taught in this class is so interesting. This was by far my favorite course this semester. There were so many disorders i had no clue even existed. Also, the instructor helped me get a visual on what each disorder looks like by showing many videos during each class period. She also is a therapist on the side, so she had many stories to share about her own patients. I do wish there was less work. The instructor gave out a ton of homework but she did give a large amount of time to do it all.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics on different types of mental disorders. I learned the symptoms, causes, and treatments of each disorder. The highlights of this class had to be watching all of the videos on the different disorders.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the work given ahead of time or spread it all out through the time period given to do it. Its a huge struggle to try and finish it all the night before. Read the book, it contains almost all of the information and answers needed. Study with a partner for tests, its a lot easier to have a friend to help you remember all of the different disorders.
