This class was tough.
Absolutely! I recommend not only taking MGT 341, but I would positively recommend taking it with Dr. Melody LaPreze. At times, we can get into what seems to be a monotonous rhythm in school, and even life. But, taking MGT 341 was uplifting, motivating, inspiring and just all around fun. She is very knowledgeable, stays on task and applies all of the course material to real life situations. I have completed course before and thought "okay well I made it through that one." But, after taking her final I felt like I really walked away with a plethora of valuable knowledge. My recommendation would be to take the course, with LaPreze. Stay goal oriented, manage your time well, stay focused and have fun reaching your goals in life!
I believe the best part of the entire class was being able to apply everything we were learning to our Group Project. She was very well organized, so as we were covering material it was almost immediately applicable. I was the Team Lead, and I kept thinking to myself how comical today's lecture is in a sense that I was either just wondering how to approach a certain situation, or after having a lecture was able to refer to notes or her PP presentation to find the best means necessary to move forward in any given situation. Learning to really work well within a team, takes hard work dedication and a thorough knowledge of how to do so. That is why we are here - to learn how to be the best that we can be! And, in order to promote success in the world of business I strongly recommend MGT 341 and if you can, with Dr. Lapreze!

Advice for students:
IF you manage your time well, you will do well. If you are somebody who likes to procrastinate either recognize that and perhaps implement earlier "due dates" allowing yourself some breathing room. Or don't procrastinate. Do not get stressed out - take each day as it comes. Look ahead so that when material is covered you have at least a moderate understanding of will be covered. BE PRESENT IN CLASS. You are paying for the information that she covers, the quizzes, the exams etc. Why not make the most of it? Speed reading and cramming just is not the same, and increases stress dramatically. The way she teaches helps make the information stick. Good luck and have fun!
