Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although the course seems difficult at first, it really helped me learn to communicate better through writing. Also forced me to think about other angles/opinions other than my own.

    Course highlights:

Learned to think outside the box and really stretch myself when it comes to writing. Research on topics that I was not familiar with was very interesting.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take more writing classes in high school. I didn't write that much in HS and struggled at first trying to be very detailed and writing thoroughly.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Voliva is an incredible teacher. He genuinely cares about the education of the students, and does everything in his power to understand the students' needs in order to better and further their information.

    Course highlights:

I have learned so much more about writing. Other classes I have taken have given you a prompt, and expected you to do it right. Mr. Voliva actually shows you how to make your writing better.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

He works very hard to accommodate the needs of his students, so do not take this for granted.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is very competent and thorough, while maintaining a pleasant environment for learning, I definitely feel as though I am a better writer for taking this course.

    Course highlights:

I gained a more thorough understanding of poetry, both in interpreting word choice as well as rhythm. I also learned ways to better express myself through the written word.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If I could do this class over, I would definitely create more in-depth outlines for my papers. I would also start my papers sooner, there were a few instances were I was almost late to turn one in.
