Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As a former band kid, I knew I couldn't give up my love of music right off the bat! I learned so much about the history of jazz in America!

    Course highlights:

The biggest thing I took away from this course was my love for Louis Armstrong and John Coltrane. For just about every test, we were assigned 10 pieces of music to listen to so that we could identify the names and the artists on the tests. It was definitely a unique way to test us, and I discovered two new artists that I really enjoy listening to.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings! He gave us extra credit quizzes from the readings, and if you hadn't read the chapter, then you were out of luck.
