    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course allowed me to think more in depth about topics that surrounded my society. Outside of this course I found myself relating a lot of very real problems today.

    Course highlights:

We placed a lot of emphasis on racism and prejudice. We watched a video about how a teacher applied a prejudice experiment in her third grade classroom and that video helped open a lot of new conversation and perspectives. I learned that prejudices was more of a problem than I initially thought.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I woud make sure you come to class with the expectation to be engaged in the conversations and to think critically about the events that are being discussed.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Sociology was by far my favorite course at MACC. The teacher was awesome and he made the material very relatable, which made the class more interesting. It is definitely cool to learn about how things are socially connected and how they all affect one another.

    Course highlights:

Some things that I really rook away from this course was the difference in all of the social classes and how each of them are affected differently by various actions and events that take place around the world. It was also interesting to learn about the social construction of gender and how today's society focuses more on equality than just a few years ago.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely suggest focusing on the course and the material. The book required for this course is definitely helpful and helps explains things you may not have understood in class. Definitely ask the teacher ANYTHING. It is a lot harder going through the course if you do not understand a subject or concept. Ask for a little more explanation and it will help with other things throughout the course as well.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a free chance to earn money for college. Even if I don't win, it is nice to know that it is still here.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to define what mastery means to myself!

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to never stop trying to apply, even when it seems hopeless!
