Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend everyone to take this class. The material taught in this class actually helps with assignments in other classes, such as Public Speaking. It's a great experience to better yourself at writing and teaches how to break down information when composing a paper. In Composition 1 we have very complex readings that are due every two weeks. These complex readings help readers learn new words and new information that will help them in the future. This is a very planned out and organized class that requires a lot of work, but there is a big difference in the students knowledge about writing from day 1 to day 30.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of Composition 1 are the essays we are required to type. The teacher gives you a basis of what the essay is suppose to be about, and then the student picks a topic. This gives students the ability to brainstorm and really use their brain when deciding a topic and information following it. I learned how to become a better writer than before and learned how to really organize a paper the proper way, which in return helped me in other classes that required me to write papers also.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order for students to succeed in this class they need to be very planned out and organized. Being in a dual credit class means you need to keep track of every assignment and the due date for it. All students taking Composition 1 receives a syllabus that shows the dates for readings, papers, essays, etc. Given this information, every student should space out their schedule for assignments so they are not overwhelmed with anything. Being a good student and maintaining good grades all follows behind organization, responsibility, hard work, and dedication outside of the classroom.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The course is very laid back. You don't have to be a genius to pass, but at the same time, you learn very valuable information about the writing process and how to write college-level essays more effectively.

    Course highlights:

I gained the knowledge of how to write college-level essays. This helped me in a number of other courses as well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you are okay with reading. Also, you need to be very diligent about finishing your coursework on time.
