Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course really opened my eyes to things that were happening in our culture socially today. It showed that there is problems that we all look past merely because of where we sit on the social ladder.

    Course highlights:

We learned about things that define culture, societies and all the positive and negatives that go along with being apart of each and the differences between the two, the class taught students the differences in the simple misconceptions presented everyday.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I advise you to read the book and attend class, be ready to take a lot of notes and dont be afraid to ask questions. He (Shin) does tend to go fast so be sure to attend office hours and ask him individual questions that you feel you didt grasp well enough in class

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I'm kind of old fashion with my learning style, so I really enjoyed Dr. Neustadter! I loved the way he taught. I liked the lecture, plus the supplemental videos because they reiterated the main points. I wouldn't say he is the teacher for everyone, but I really enjoyed having him!

    Course highlights:

The highlights were definitely all of the videos we watched. It helped pass the class time, and a lot of them were very interesting. I enjoyed learning about Victor, who was a child being raised my wolves. Someone eventually took him in, and wanted to see if they could teach him to talk and have emotions. We also learned about Genie around the same time, and she was basically trapped in her basement, and never allowed to come out. Researchers wanted to see whether she could recover from that. Both stories were very sad, but interesting. It looks deeper into nature and nurture, which is something that I am very interested in.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you like learning old school style, take Dr. Neustadter! He puts his notes up on a projector, and talks about them, about half of the class, then we watch a video for the remaining time. Also, study your notes and pay attention to the videos. It really isn't too difficult of a class, if you come to class, and put forth effort into learning.
