Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Medical Terminology really has helped out with starting the nursing Program. Attended OTC in Springfield MO.

    Course highlights:

I learned a ton of terminology that will really assist me in the Nursing Program.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Learn the prefixes and Suffixes early on it really helps. Also cramming before the test is what all my friends do! Always sleep well the night before any test that really helps me to stay focused. I would recommend this course for any student considering a career in health care. Definitely pace yourself and set reasonable goals.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class can be taken online and you can be very successful in it. A lot of people think that you just have to take classes on campus in order to be successful and in some cases I do believe that. However with this class, you can be very successful with online courses. I would recommend that you make flash cards, and study weekly. It will make you very successful as you continue to each part of the body. I used a lot of index cards but I walk out of there with a High "B" and I feel very proud of that hard work. Full time work, kids and full time student, I am very proud of that Grade.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of my course was when I went to take my exam's I was always prepared for each test. And when I would get the end results, the long hours of study was completely worth it. I learned to stay on top of my study's and always ask questions regardless if I felt that it was something very simple. Understand your terms and the rest of the class will come with it. If you know what all of your prefixes, word root, suffixes are your success will be very rewarding. Stay on top of your due dates and study with another person. Quiz each other on the terms and even point to the area of your body that way you can relate the location to the term and the definition. Stay positive and enjoy what you learn.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of your due dates and always remember that they provide all types of resources for you to use to help you be successful in this class. In medical Terminology classes I recommend to make flash cards with your Prefix, suffix or word root on one side and the meaning on the other and just study those through out the entire course. Your instructor's are there for you for questions, so make sure that you utilize them as well. Remain positive and have fun with what you are learning will make this class one you will truly enjoy.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you want to work in the medical field this is a course I would recommend taking certainly, you cannot even volunteer in most hospitals without having medical terminology under your belt so it is an important class and I found the word formations very interesting!

    Course highlights:

I think the main highlight of this course for me was just the fact that learning medical terminology is almost like learning a new language.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is not easy, but if you are willing to put in the time and learn all the material it will slowly all begin to make more sense. It is very rewarding.
