Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Aside from most colleges requiring some form of public speaking class, this class helped open my eyes to the real power that resides with an effective communicator. The power to inspire others to join you in a good cause originates with being able to clearly communicate a vision, which often requires some form of speech, be it personally or formally to a large audience.

    Course highlights:

While taking this course I learned that good speech skills can be learned. There is hope for those who thought they were not good speakers, because speech is very much a craft which may be honed. The course covered many topics. including how to structure a good speech, and how to exude confidence as a speaker.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the speeches seriously, they are a large part of your grade, and it is easy to tell who prepared and who did not.
