Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course was very detailed and it helped me to be able to look deeper into what I read instead of just reading a book and moving forward. I don't believe I will ever read a book the same way again since taking this course. As I have gotten older I have been able to have a better appreciation for fictional stories and authors who have become acclaimed authors who have written fiction stories. Now that I have been able to read more stories I appreciate these authors and their pieces even more interested in reading more of their work. This was not just a class to me, it was an epiphany for me because it opened my eyes to how truly great the fictional word of writing is and to the amazing people who have spent their lives writing such masterpieces.

    Course highlights:

Being about to read stories from so many different authors and see how they express themselves in their writing. The biggest thing I learned from being able to read from so many different authors is that everyone has a different style of writing and if you pay close attention you will see those style emerge in their writing. I never took into consideration the depth of what goes on in a writer's head when they are writing and the things they are trying to tell the reader. Authors are not just writing books and stories, but they are trying to tell you something much more than the words we are reading. We as readers just need to be more attentive and look for it while we are reading these stories.

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give to other students taking this course is to really take part in the course, open your mind to what is being offered to you because what you learning and who you are learning about is amazing. I would advise them to actually read what is being assigned to them and not half do it. What you are going to learn in this course is beautiful and it is going to open your mind to how great reading is, or can be.
