Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend Dr. Koch's First Year Composition class. Dr. K is very knowledgable about composition and will change your way of thinking about writing.

    Course highlights:

One of the main highlights of the course was that I discovered my writing process. When I was in high school, I had no clue how to go about writing an essay. I just sat down and wrote until it sounded okay. However, after this course, I know now that I write better when I organize my ideas and put them in chronological order. I also really enjoyed our textbook, "You Are Not So Smart" by: David McRaney. It was interesting because while it wasn't a traditional English textbook, it had a lot of useful information. I even used it for some of my other classes. Lastly, Dr. K cares about the students. If he could tell all of us were stressed out about an assignment, he would let the entire class talk it out.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take advantage of his rewriting policy. That will bring up your grade and it will also teach you the importance of constantly editing your writing. I would also read the textbook and go to his advising if you have any problems!

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

She is an amazing first year teacher; however, she treats us like we are back in middle school and that we do not comprehend how to write.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about how to follow the teacher instructions exactly.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to write essays exactly how she wants them to be written.
