Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Groetsch is by far the best professor I had in my first year of college. Not only does he make his lectures interesting and keeps the student attentive. This class is not a simple class, but it teaches the student what college is like and it requires a great amount of responsibility.

    Course highlights:

Learning about the history of civilization, the Greeks, and the Romans was absolutely amazing, although the greater knowledge I learned was that it was my responsibility to succeed. I learned that I had to truly apply myself in this course and I the time I put in reflected my grade equally.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this course because it will develop your ability to be a responsible and successful student. Make sure you dedicate yourself to the weekly readings and force yourself to study the material because Professor Groetsch does everything to make it easy if you apply yourself.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

First of all, History 101 is a required course for almost every major. Although I am not a big fan of learning all about the past, Dr. Makowski really made my learning experience great! Although his exams are hard and essay-type, I really had no difficulty getting a good grade in each one of them. As long as you pay attention and take good notes, History class with Dr. Makowski can turn to a class of story-telling time!

    Course highlights:

This course really allowed me to get a great insight of how the world civilization came to be and how it grew along the way. Many people think that the past is past and it shouldn't matter, but this is incorrect. The past is the foundation of what is today and therefore, each of us should care about history to help our world to continue to grow positively.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! I could say to stay away from Dr. Makowski because he is tough, but I promise that this class will leave you with a great amount of knowledge. You don't just jot down facts and memorize them, but this class allows you to actually put pieces together and comprehend thoroughly about our past.
