    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class itself wasn't horrible, if you're interested in politics. My problem was with this professor. The class filled a requirement for me and that is the only reason I took it, but I really wish I could have taken it with another professor. Sharp was extremely biased and made it known which side of the political spectrum she was on and if you voiced your opinion and it was different from hers, she treated you differently throughout the rest of the class. The subject matter we went over was very back and forth in the sense that she would lecture Ch. 14, have a powerpoint presentation online over Ch. 7, and the test would be over Ch. 10. It was extremely confusing trying to figure out why I needed to study.

    Course highlights:

Honestly, I don't remember much of the actual subject. I only remember how horrible the professor was. This course was so meticulous and so bland to me that it was one of those classes where I only learned the information to pass the test and then it went straight out of my brain.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your reading on the chapters and try to analyze the material, not just read it. Piece the different aspects together as you go. Overall, try to take this course with absolutely anyone but Sharp.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is recommended for graduation in all Missouri schools and Dr. Hatcher is a fantastic professor. She does anything she can to make the course as enjoyable as possible. If you have a question you can always ask, she has interesting conversations during class, and she takes off your lowest quiz grades, gives plenty of extra credit, and allows for an opportunity to not take the final if you do well on the midterms.

    Course highlights:

I took this course during the Trump/Clinton elections so the conversations at the beginning of the class were definitely something to look forward to for me.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to utilize note cards, email the professor, and be engaged in class. Also read your book!
